Finding an LP or GP Profile...

Q - I want to view a detailed profile for CALPERS.  How do I do this?

A - In Search field on RHS of Home page type CALPERS. Click on the adjacent arrow to run the search and then click on the name of the profile. At top of profile click on titles Key Information (already displayed), Contact and Background for details.
 

Identifying Target LPs by Region...

Q - We are arranging a fundraising trip and so I want to find profiles of LPs based in the UK, sorted by city. I also want to export their head office details to Excel for contact purposes. How do I do this?

A - From the LHS Menu click on LPs, then Basic Search. Under Search by Location select United Kingdom from the list and click on Run Search. When the results appear, click on the City title to sort. To export, click on the Excel icon. Then tick the Head Office Details box and click on Submit.

NB: lists of GPs can be identified in a similar way by initially clicking on Funds & Managers (instead of LPs) on the LHS menu and then repeating the steps above.
 

Identifying Target LPs by Appetite...

Q - I want to find profiles of LPs based in the US that have an appetite for unlisted funds. How do I do this?

A - From the LHS Menu click on LPs, then Advanced Search. Under Institution Details, select Location (Country), then double click on United States of America. Next, under Fund Investment Appetite select Fund Type Appetite and double click on Unlisted Infrastructure from the list. Click on Run Search.
 

Identifying Target LPs by Previous Investment Activity...

Q - We are raising a fund similar to Global Infrastructure Partners, and want to approach LPs who invested in that fund. How do I do this?

A - From the LHS Menu click on LPs, then Advanced Search. Select Manager Invested With and scroll down to and click on Global Infrastructure Partners. Then double click on Global Infrastructure Partners from the list which appears below. Click on Run Search.

Q - I want to find profiles of LPs who invested in 1990s vintage funds. How do I do this?

A - From the LHS Menu click on LPs, then Advanced Search. Under Fund & Manager Details select Fund Vintage Year and then select 1990 to 1999 (hold the ‘Shift’ key on your keyboard to select the range) and click on the ‘>’ button to select. Click on Run Search.
 

Identifying a Contact...

Q - I met Mr Smith at an LP Conference, but I cannot recall where he worked. How can I find him?

A - In Search field on RHS of Home page type Smith. Click on the adjacent arrow to run the search. All records with a Smith in Contacts (or in the body of the LP/GP name) will be returned. Click on the relevant company to see the full profile.
